Speaking & Storytelling

Real stories. Real decisions. Real consequences.

Stories that give people something to think about.

No lectures. Just real stories.

I don't stand in front of an audience to tell them how to lead. I share situations I've faced, decisions I've made and what happened afterwards. Then I invite people to consider what they might have done differently.

Sometimes there's no perfect answer. That's what makes the conversation interesting.

“What would you do?”

Real decisions. Real stories. A chance to think differently.

Keynote themes

Conversations worth having

Decisions under pressure

How leaders make sound judgements with incomplete information, limited time and real consequences.

Standards and courage

Why doing the right thing is not always the popular thing — and how leaders live with that choice.

People before process

Balancing rules, resources and responsibility when human needs challenge the plan.

Leading through uncertainty

Turning operational experience into practical decisions that others can understand and act upon.

Accountability in action

Taking responsibility for outcomes, explaining difficult decisions and earning trust.

Lessons across sectors

What defence, healthcare, humanitarian operations and business can teach each other about leadership.

Every audience is different.

Ron adapts his talks to the people in the room, speaking with multicultural awareness, sensitivity and respect for his audience. His aim is to encourage reflection and discussion, not deliver a lecture.
