Leadership shaped by experience.
Real stories. Real decisions. Real consequences.
Fifty years of experience. One question that changes the conversation: What would you do?

Not lessons from a textbook. Decisions from real life.
I’ve spent more than 50 years working across defence, healthcare, government, humanitarian operations, emergency services and business, including more than 20 years in the Gulf. Along the way, I’ve faced situations where there was no easy answer and decisions had real consequences.
Today I share those experiences with audiences, not to tell them what to think, but to ask what they might have done — and why. The best conversations often begin with a difficult question.
Stories that stay with you.
Experience that matters
Real situations from military operations, humanitarian work, healthcare and leadership — with choices that mattered.
The human side of leadership
Judgement, listening, trust, perspective and responsibility when the answers are not obvious.
Conversations, not lectures
Engaging storytelling that invites people to question assumptions and consider what they would do.
Technology informs. Humans decide.
Artificial intelligence can help leaders understand more and make better-informed decisions. But it cannot take responsibility for them. That balance between technology and human judgement is one of several leadership conversations I explore.
